The Irish Council for Psychotherapy (ICP), the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP) and the European Association of Psychotherapy (EAP) have all raised concerns that the new standards will lower the quality of training, creating risks for the safety of clients as well as the employability of therapists outside of Ireland.
IAHIP Chair, Jacky Grainger, ICP CEO, Rúaidhrí O’Connor, and John O’Connor (ICP Board Director) express their concerns re: the new regulations and standards.
